Leon Mercer Jordan Campus
This nearly $60 million dollar project was a unique opportunity for the 3rd District. The centralized location in the urban core serves as a redevelopment catalyst for Prospect Avenue and the surrounding neighborhoods. The City of Kansas City, Missouri and its East Campus project contractors are working with HUD to be sure low-income residents and businesses benefit.
The project was leveraged to spark training and employment opportunities for low-income workers, and was governed by HUD Section 3 guidelines. The project team worked collectively with leaders of neighborhood associations and community groups to identify opportunities for development and improvements in the area surrounding the East Campus. Parson + Associates has worked on this project since 2011 and will continue on it until the estimated closeout is in 2015. The construction contract has spanned approximately two-and-a-half years.
We’re dedicated to the betterment of Kansas City, our home, and are eager to serve as your bridge to the community. We encourage you to read more about the team members at P+A.
