Here at Parson, we do more than spectacular communications work. We like to have fun too. Our group is comprised of many diverse personalities: novice chef, floral artist, closet musician, blossoming artist and military veteran.  One member of the Parson team has recently rediscovered her passion for running. A semi-track athlete in high school, Donna has taken up running as a way to get her health back on track as well as serving as a strong role model for her two young boys.

Donna recently completed her 2nd half-marathon, accomplishing a personal record at Kansas City’s Rock the Parkway. An added bonus was crossing the finish line with fellow runner and colleague, Eric Bosch (as seen in photo).

Unfortunately, shortly after realizing this accomplishment, we all at Parson learned about the tragedy unfolding at the Boston Marathon. Whether we run in these races or cheer from the sidelines, we are all affected by this senseless act of violence. We at Parson & Associates are deeply saddened and troubled by this recent event in Boston and our hearts and prayers are with those affected by this tragedy.

If you are interested in helping out, donations are being accepted by the Salvation Army and the American Red Cross.  In addition, the Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Tom Menino created the One Fund Boston to help the people most affected by the tragic events.

However unnerving and scary this tragedy is, we can not let it stop how we live our lives. If anything, it strengthens our resolve to continue doing good work and striving to make a difference in our communities.

We at Parson won’t stop dreaming big or running fast.

Not today. Not tomorrow.
