Four Parson & Associates staff members earned the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) 10-hour Construction Industry Outreach certification. The course covers OSHA safety training on basic construction site hazards. Certification allows Alex, Donna, Gina and Meghan to get up close and personal at project work sites (wearing hardhats and steel-toed shoes, of course).
As the Public Information Manager for KC Streetcar Constructors, the joint venture managing the Downtown Streetcar starter line construction, Parson & Associates’ Meghan Jansen is required to visit construction sites daily. “When responding to the concerns of property owners, business owners and residents, it’s important that I experience first-hand the point of view of the stakeholders, as well as the crews,” she said. “Also, being able to enter the construction sites regularly allows our staff to take advantage of the many photo opportunities available on the project. The photos and video we are able to capture really tell the story of the construction process and let the community experience the process right along with us.”
